What Is Preserved Moss?

Our moss walls are crafted from real moss that has been grown, harvested, and preserved using a blend of natural ingredients. The preservation process locks in the moss's natural colour and texture permanently — it will not grow, wilt, or die. The result is a stunning, tactile surface that looks and feels like living moss, with none of the upkeep.

Preserved moss is suitable for all indoor environments. It requires no water, no soil, and no light — making it ideal for dark corridors, windowless offices, and feature walls where living plants would struggle.

Important: All our moss panels are designed for indoor use only. Keep away from direct sunlight, which will fade the colour over time. Indirect light and decorative lighting are perfectly fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are moss walls alive, like living walls?

No. Our moss walls are not living walls. They are made with preserved moss — real moss that was once a living, growing plant, carefully preserved to create the beautiful textured panels we use. The moss will not grow, but it will look and feel like living moss indefinitely.

Do moss walls need to be watered?

No. Preserved moss requires no water or soil whatsoever.

Do moss walls need light?

No. Keep them away from direct sunlight, which will fade the colour. They are ideal for dark spaces. Decorative lighting can be added to create drama without any risk to the moss.

Can I hang a moss wall outside?

No. All our moss panels are designed for indoor display only. Direct sunlight and high humidity will compromise their appearance and lifespan. Indirect light is perfectly fine.

How long does production take?

Each piece is made to order, which means lead times are slightly longer than off-the-shelf products — but you receive a quality, bespoke design at a fair price, and we never overproduce. We will confirm your lead time at the point of order.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. Custom sizes are available for all our products. Pricing is determined by project size and the quantity of moss required. Contact us for a quote.

Care & Maintenance

Preserved moss walls are maintenance-free under normal indoor conditions. To keep your installation looking its best:

• Avoid humid rooms (e.g. bathrooms or kitchens) where possible, or ensure good ventilation
• Do not wet the moss — keep it away from condensation, leaks, or steam
• Ensure airflow — avoid enclosing the panel in a sealed space
• Dust gently if needed, using a soft brush or low-power vacuum on the lowest setting
• If mould appears (rare in well-ventilated spaces), gently wipe with a dry soft cloth
