I’m a Maker, an Artist, an Etsy Seller — And Here’s How My First-Ever Market Stall Almost Made Me Cry (In the Best Way)

Hi, I’m Nupur.
I’m a maker, an artist, an Etsy seller, and someone who still can’t quite believe that my hands create the tiny worlds I imagine.

And recently… something huge happened.
Something I’ve dreamed about for years.

I set up my very first market stall.

It sounds simple, right?
Except I was shaking like a loose screw in a washing machine.

The Chaos Before the Magic: Losing My Table Cover (Yes, Really)

The morning of the event, I was nervous enough to forget my own name — and definitely nervous enough to forget the most important thing in the world of stalls: the table cover.

I tore through my bags. Nothing.
I checked my car. Nothing.
I questioned every decision that led me to this moment.

And then… like a tiny miracle sent by the universe itself…

🌟 There was a duvet cover in my car.
Don’t ask me why it was there. I genuinely don’t know.
But that random duvet cover became my last-minute table cloth — and honestly? It saved the entire stall.

I took a deep breath, spread it out, arranged my moss art, resin pieces, fairy gardens, and tiny worlds under glass domes…

And suddenly, everything felt right.

Meeting Real People, Sharing Real Stories

Once the doors opened, something magical happened.

People stopped.
People smiled.
People touched my work and gasped softly the way I do when I finish a piece.

Strangers became supporters.
Supporters became customers.
And every single conversation reminded me why I create.

One person told me my fairy garden reminded them of childhood.
Another said my ocean resin clocks made them “feel like summer holidays.”
Someone wanted the Hobbit house dome as soon as they saw it — no hesitation.

And then something I didn't expect happened…

I Almost Sold Out — And I Almost Cried

By the end of the event, my table looked nearly empty.
People kept returning, bringing friends, asking questions, sharing appreciation, and taking little pieces of my imagination home with them.

I stood there, overwhelmed — in the best possible way.

To think that for weeks I had doubted myself…
And here I was, smiling so hard my cheeks hurt, trying not to cry behind my glasses.

My first stall didn’t just go well —
🌿 It filled my heart.
🌿 It reminded me why I create.
🌿 It showed me there's a place in the world for the worlds I make.

What This Experience Means for My Art Journey

This wasn’t just my first stall.
It was the beginning of something bigger — a push, a boost, a whisper saying:

“Keep going, Nupur. Your art matters.”

And I will.
With more moss, more resin, more tiny magical details, more storytelling, and more heart.

Thank you to everyone who supported me that day — and to you, reading this now.
Whether you visit my shop, follow my journey, or simply smile at my creations… it means everything.

💚 Here’s to many more stalls, many more tiny worlds, and many more magical moments.
